voting, check-in

Voting on Main Round 1 is open. We each get an individual vote, but if a whole team votes we get bonus points, so go vote! (Not for us. Sadly.)

It is also check-in time. I need my teammates to comment here or PM me if you want to stay active on this team or switch to a different one. If I haven't heard from you by Saturday, the moderation team is getting told you're absent.

I just really really want to apologize for my lack of contribution the last 2 weeks. The holidays and real life stuff have kept me so busy and since I'm not into the habit of logging into dreamwidth even still I forget to just take a few minutes to say "hey I'm still here". Gah! So so sorry.

Thank you for doing the MR1 even though I'm sure you've been equally busy!! And I'll be sure to contribute more now that the holidays are wrapping up and things will be easier for me to juggle.

I'll go view the MR1 entries and vote and check on the prompts in BR3 and leave a couple prompts myself so we can get some extra points.

Do you know the rules on adding more people to our team? I was gonna make a post on tumblr to see if anyone wants to jump in with us soon, but I didn't know how adding new people on or mixing things up works?

Oh also, I just noticed with the MR1 entries that some have both fic and graphic and/or fanmix...?? And I don't know why, but for some reason I remembered incorrectly and was thinking the there was a much more limited word count if it included graphics. I would have loved to make a fanmix or graphic for your fic. I will definitely keep that in mind for this next round though!!

And you were probably really confused by my post about if it should be a fic or a graphic for this round too. :p

I'm quite terrible at this competition thing, apparently. This is my first time ever participating in one, so I'll just be sure to review the rules again to refresh my memory.

I think how adding new people works is other signed-up people have to be dissatisfied with their present team or otherwise willing to change teams, and then they have to see that we're not full and decide they'd rather be with us than with another not-full team.

Ah ok. Well, I hate for anyone else to lose their team members, but it will be nice if we could get at least one more member if only just to help us get some more points in the bonus rounds.

Also, I edited my settings to email me whenever a new post is added to this community so it'll be easier for me to keep track of things.

Anyway, I'll get started on the MR2 entry and will probably post a couple different options for us to decide on for submission for voting.

If you want any help or collaboration with bonus round prompts too feel free to shoot some ideas to me or here on the comm group, like if you want to do a fic fill I could follow that up with a graphic. Or if I post a fanmix fill maybe it'll inspire you to write something...? Just an idea.

I think it could be a fun way to help us get even more points as well as get us working together more. And even though there's currently only two of us, I still think we could do really great!
